Drug Uses
Allegra helps relieve symptoms of hay fever. Allegra effectively treats itchy/watery/red eyes, sneezing and runny/itchy nose, rhinorrhea. Allegra can be taken by adults and children over 6 years of age.
How Taken
Allegra comes as a tablet or capsule to take by mouth. Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water. Usually Allegra is taken twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Follow the directions on your prescription label or your doctors` instructions.
Warnings/Precautions
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you have any serious illness such as liver, kidney or heart disease. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Allegra or any other drug. The Possible Side Effects are- difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, hives These allergic reactions happen rarely. If you experience any of them stop taking Allegra and seek medical attention. Continue taking Allegra and talk to your doctor if you experience nausea or an upset stomach. If you experience any other side effects talk to your doctor.
Storage
Keep this medication in the container it came in. Store it at room temperature 20–25°C (68–77°F) and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
Overdose
Seek medical attention immediately if overdose is suspected. Some of the symptoms of overdose are- drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness.
